Services held for Harold George Reiter

Funeral services in memory of Harold George Reiter were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 1995, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Walter Quandt officiated. Casket bearers were Marvin Holtrop, Marvin Bjork, Ed Morisch, Robert Morisch, Dennis Rutter and Norm Winter. Interment was in North Lawn Memorial Park at Spencer. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

OBITUARY

Harold George Reiter, the son of Albert and Ida Lehmann Reiter, was born July 2, 1921, on the homestead near Kearney and Poole, Nebraska, and it was there he received his early education.

On February 10, 1944, Harold married Leola Straub in Germantown Lutheran Church near Paullina, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed in surrounding areas and near Spencer and Milford, Iowa.

Mr. Reiter passed away suddenly on February 19, 1995, at the age of 73 in Sioux City, Iowa, while visiting his ill wife who was at Marian Health Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brothers: LaVeme and Ellsworth; and a younger brother, Neil.

Harold was survived by his wife, Leola of Spencer; two sisters: Ruth (Mrs. William) Cramer of Sumner, Nebraska, and Velma (Mrs. Carl) Ortendahl of Port Orchard, Washington; one brother, Don of Spirit Lake, Iowa; nieces and nephews Timothy Reiter, Verlin Reiter, Yvonne Brown, Carolyn Clark, Janet Ibach, Nannette Ortendahl, Lynette Broyer, Diane Stein, Duane Straub and other faithful relatives and friends. All will greatly miss his generosity, helpfulness and loving ways.
