Wesley Boerhave
Born: Jan. 8, 1927
Died: March 5, 2011
Wesley T. Boerhave, 84, formerly of Sheldon and Sioux city, died Saturday, March 5, after suffering a stroke in Tucson, AZ.
Wesley Boerhave, son of George and Hattie (Vander Burgh) Boerhave, was born Jan 8, 1927, near Sheldon.
He attended country school and Sheldon High School, enlisting in the U.S. Navy during his senior year.
He married Delores Smith of Boyden in January, 1949.
His working years were spent in Sioux City until they retired to Tusxon, AZ, spending their summers at Lake Okoboji.
His farming roots were a big part of his life and he enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Boerhave of Tucson, AZ; a son, Terry Boerhave in Arizona; and a sister Marie Westra of Sheldon.

Barbara Knight

Barbara Knight, 66, died March 19, 2011 at her home in Spencer, IA. The memorial service was held March 23, at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Alan L. Dean officiating, Graveside service was held at Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden.
Brabara Knight, the daughter of Fred and Olga Knight, was born Feb. 22, 1945 in Hawarden. Barbara graduated from West Sioux High School. She then attended college in Springfield, SD.’
Barbara attended church at Living Word Outreach Ministries in Spencer.
Survivors include her children, Ginger Hingst of Norfolk,, NE, Clark(Terry) Bertrand of Farmington, NH., Frank(Heather) Bertrand of West Point, TN, Angela Glaze of Sioux City and Natasha Redwing of Spencer; seven grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Robert, Jack and Jim.
