Janet Buren
Janet Buren, 81, of Danville, Iowa, died at Danville Care Center, on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 6:40 a.m.

Born on July 8, 1929 in Boyden, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Jennie Dorsman Buren.

Janet was an L.P.N. at Sheldon Hospital, Sheldon, Iowa for 25 years and also worked as an L.P.N at Sioux City Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa. After retiring at the age of 72, she then worked part-time as a writer for the Sanborn Pioneer newspaper. She enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family by sharing cups of coffee, playing cards or just having good conversations. She also loved to shop and dine out. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Sanborn, Iowa.

She is survived by one son, Allen (Linda) Buren of West Burlington, Iowa; one granddaughter, Kelsi Buren of Kansas City, Missouri; four sister-in-laws, Gladys, Karen & Carol Buren of Sanborn, Iowa and Elsie Buren of Washington, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Herman, James, Joseph, Pete, Gearald and Johnny Buren; two sister-in-laws, Isabel and Jennie Buren.
