GRANDVILLE, MI—Eugene "Gene" M. Thomassen, 67, Grandville, MI, formerly of Sheldon, died Sunday, Nov. 7, Grandville, MI, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.
Services were Thursday, Nov.11, at Matthysse Kuiper De Graaf Funeral Home in Grandville, MI, with Pastor Rodney Otto officiating. Burial was at Floral View Memorial Gardens.
Gene Thomassen, son of Art and Jeannette Thomassen, was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Sheldon, where he spent his early years.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Mary Thomasser, Grandville, Ml; four children
Amy Thomassen, Meishel (Shane) Fortino, Terry Price, Greg Price; five grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dianne and Pat Wit of Sioux Falls, SD; and a brother,
Arlen Thomassen of DuBoise, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Jeannette Thomassen; and a stepdaughter, Michelle Day.
