Edna Clark, age 93, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Rev. Ron Nelson officiating.
Burial at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Barnes Township Cemetery in Linn Grove, Iowa.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 22, from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon.
Edna Clark was born on April 7, 1917, on a farm near Archer, Iowa. She was the daughter of Herman and Emma (Johnson) Storm. She lived her youth on a farm near Archer, Iowa, and attended a country school. She graduated from Archer High School in 1936.
She was united in marriage to Charles Clark, Jr., of Linn Grove, Iowa, on November 20, 1937, in Sanborn, Iowa. They lived in Linn Grove for 44 years. Charles passed away in 1980. Edna moved to Sheldon in 1982 and lived at Valley View Apartments for 19 years. In 2002, she moved to Sanford Sheldon Senior Care.
Edna was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, visiting with people, and reading. She had a quiet sense of humor.
Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Linn Grove, Iowa, until 1981. In 1983, she became a member of St. Paul Lutheran in Sheldon, Iowa.
She passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care Center in Sheldon.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law: Rodger D. and Judy Clark of Sterling, Illinois; three grandchildren: Derek and wife Melanie Clark and their children: Max and Lindsay; Judy Kay and husband Jason Katz; Josh and wife Susan Clark; one brother and sister-in-law: Ronald and Izola Storm of Adel, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles; one daughter: Sharon Clark (1963); her parents; three sisters and one brother.
