In Response To: Stanley Reunion (Ruth Stanley Kuntz)

Sorry to use this back door method but I could think of no other way. I saw Lewis D Stanley article on the New Garden Quakers and the Underground Railroad on the Icelandic Horse website. I have a question for him. He listed other Friends who supported the work of the Underground Railroad; among them was a Jacob Griffin. My ancestor, of that name, lived in Byron, Ogle County, Illinois from about 1838 to about 1851. He was a Free Will Baptist preacher from Canada and I know that he had abolishonist sympathies. I also know that Byron was a center for underground railroad activities in that area. Does Mr Stanlely have any information that might link the New Garden Jacob Griffin to mine?

Thank you for any information
