Hi, Marjorie,

I am sitting here with Sarah Jane Jefferson Yeager ("Mrs. J. B. Yeager")'s obituary in my hand. She was my gggrandmother, and died in Attica Indiana.

There is no date on the obit (of course!), but a note says she died when my grandfather Frank Yeager Bernahrdt was 4 yo, so ~1897.

It says:
Sarah Jame (sic) Jefferson was born at Perrysville, Ind., on August 9, 1822. She moved to West Point when a child and there married John B. Yeager in 1838. They moved to Independence and lived there until 1845, when they came to Attica. She was a continuous resident here for 52 years. Mr. Yeager died on March 18, 1886, and for the past 7 years, Mrs. Yeager made her home with her daughter, Mrs. I. E. Schoonover. .... She left three children, Mrs. I. E. Schoonover, Mrs. Frank Shelby of Randolph, Utah, and Mrs. Frank Bernhardt, of Lafayette [my ggrandmother]. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Thos. Hempbill and Mrs. A. B. Robinson.

I don't know if this information is new to you, but feel free to contact me if you like.
