Funeral services for John (Jack) Hintz, 68, Wilton area farmer, were held at the Lacock Funeral Home Feb. 6 with the Rev. Robert J. Davis officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Mr. Hintz died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, Feb. 3.

The son of John H. and Harriet Metcalf Hintz, he was born at Nichols March 25, 1919 and was married to Mildred TeStrake at Keokuk April 29, 1939. He farmed in Muscatine county near Wilton all his life.

Mr. Hintz was a Wilton township trustee, past trustee of the Muscatine Elks lodge, a member of the Muscatine county ASCS committee and a member of the Muscatine Moose lodge.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Phillip, Forest City; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Sharon) Hester, Davenport; 4 grandchildren and 2 brothers, Kenneth, West Liberty and Cecil, Hampton, Va. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
