Funeral services for Clifton "Wimpy" Marolf, 75, Wilton at the Lacock Funeral Home, Wilton, with the Rev. Robert Mayo officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Hannes, Jon Christensen, Don Guttenfelder, Art Giese, Willie Paul and Robert Brenner. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Watson Brothers Trucking Co. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.
Mr. Marolf died Aug. 14 at his home in Wilton.
The son of Charles and Ethel Miller Marolf, he was born July 11, 1912 in Muscatine county. He married Leota Baker April 15, 1937 in Wilton. He was a member of the Teamsters, Local 710 of Chicago and the Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Moscow. He retired as a truck driver in 1971 and had worked for Yellow Freight.
Mr. Marolf served for 11 years as a part-time police officer for the city of Wilton.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Steve, Wilton; 3 grandchildren; a brother, Rolland Marolf, Moscow and a sister, Virginia Sterner, Moscow. He was preceded in death by a brother.
