Mrs. F.M. Ziegler Dies Suddenly At Home Here

Mrs. Fred M. Ziegler, 77, well-known Muscatine resident, died suddenly of a heart attack at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 811 Cedar street.

The daughter of Henry and Alma McGrew Millar, she was born Nov. 20, 1872, in Osceola county Ia., but had spent almost all of her life in Muscatine. Her marriage to Fred M. Ziegler took place in Muscatine Nov. 28, 1895.

Mrs. Ziegler was a member of the First Congregational church and of the Women's Society and had taken an active part in church affairs. She was a charter member and past president of the Muscatine Garden club.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Elmer Ziegler of Madison, Wis.; one brother, Drew Millar of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Dorothy Ziegler of St. Louis, Mo., and Frederick Ziegler of Sterling, Ill.; and one great grandson, Richard William Ziegler of Sterling, Ill. One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

The body has been taken to the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home and friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon. Arrangements for services to be conducted by the Rev. M.L. VanWagenen, pastor of the First Congregational church are incomplete. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
