Funeral services for Gordon Schroeder, 49, Muscatine, brother of Mrs. Mike (Vivian) Rekemeyer, Tipton, were held in Muscatine May 2. Mr. Schroeder died at Muscatine General hospital April 29.

He had been employed by both Benner Tea company and Nash Finch Co. He managed the Benner Tea company store for 10 years, the Muscatine Sun Mart for 10 years. He was married to Betty Lou Black in Cranston in 1955.

He was a member of the United Methodist church and the Masonic order.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Dorothy Schroeder, Iowa City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rekemeyer and Beverly Kinser, Davenport and 2 half-sisters and 2 half-brothers.
