Funeral services for Mrs. R. S. (Inez) Paetz, 67, were held at the Spangler Chapel United Methodist church May 5 with burial in Klein cemetery. She died at a Muscatine care center May 2.

The daughter of John and Anna Schmalt Boorn, she was born in Muscatine Jan. 15, 1915. She was a life resident of this area.

Her first marriage was to Walter Ballenger. She later married R. S. Paetz in Muscatine June 8, 1958. She was a member of the Spangler Chapel United Methodist church, the WSCS of the church and the Bloomington Grange. Mrs. Paetz had owned the Muscatine Real Estate Center was associated with the Muscatine Board of Realtors as a broker.

Survivors include 2 sons, Daryl Ballenger, Bennett and Ronald Ballenger, Moscow; a stepson, Jerome Paetz, Muscatine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Allen (Kathryn) Ball and Mrs. Larry (Frances) Martz, both of Muscatine; a step-daughter, Shirley Paetz, Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; 3 brothers, John Boorn, Muscatine, Harold Boorn, Moscow and Paul Boorn, Cedar Rapids; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Frank (Esther) Huscko, Moscow and Mrs. Ray (Allice) Pace, Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by both husbands and a daughter in infancy.
