Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Celestine Isabel, 88, were held at the Snider Funeral Home, West Liberty, Dec. 15 with the Rev. Bruce Williams officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery at West Liberty.

Mrs. Isabel died at the Simpson Memorial home, West Liberty, Dec. 12 following an extended illness.

The daughter of John and Elvira Richardson Cook, she was born at Ramsey, Ill. Sept. 18, 1893 and was married to Asa Isabel at Vandalia, Ill. May 27, 1912. The Isabels farmed in the West Liberty area.

She is survived by a son, Joe, West Liberty; 2 daughters-in-law, Lela and Wilma Isabel, both of Atalissa; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Grace Brown, Paris, Ill. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren.
