Last rites for Morris J. (Buzz) Smtih, 64, were held at Wilton March 20 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in the Moscow cemetery. Mrs. Howard Murrison was organist and Max Lauser vocalist. Pallbearers were Paul, Robert, James and Roger Grunder, Donald Fick and Thomas Snider.

Mr. Smith died at the Wilton Nursing Home March 17 following a long illness.

The son of James and Margaret Hoskins Smith, he was born in Moscow township, Muscatine county Nov. 26, 1915. He attended rural schools in Muscatine county and graduated from Wilton high school in 1934.

He spent his life in the Moscow area and worked as a carpenter until ill health forced him to retire. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Moscow Methodist church.

Mr. Smith is survived by 3 sisters, Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Grunder and Mrs. Melvin (Virginia) Fick, Wilton; Mrs. Hib (Janet) Snider, Moscow, a brother, Kermit H., Moscow and several nieces and nephews.
