Funeral services for Larimer Loyal Hunter, 73, were held at the West Liberty Methodist church Feb. 24 with the Rev. Dick Watkins officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Hunter died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Feb. 22 following an extended illness.

The son of Samuel and Martha Douglas Hunter, he was born in Johnson county Jan. 29, 1906. He graduated from University high school, Iowa City, in 1926. He was married to Mildred Hayslett in West Branch March 16, 1935.

Before retiring, he farmed in the West Branch and West Liberty area. He was a member of the West Liberty Lions club and had been a member and past director of the West Liberty County club.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Richard, Kansas City, Mo.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Judy) VonSprecken, Olin, Mrs. Kay Kallberg, Kalona; Mrs. David (Pat) Kordick, West Liberty and June Hunter, Osceola; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Warren, Iowa City and Stanley, Des Moines and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Lord, Iowa City and Mrs. Martha Swailes, Des Moines.
