Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Louise Overman, 95, were held at Muscatine Jan. 6 with the Rev. James Brun officiating. Burial was in the Moscow cemetery at Moscow.

Pallbearers were Floyd Coss, Thomas Carlisle, Don Passmore, Robert Ervin, James Lyle and Norman Davisson.

Mrs. Overman died at the Simpson Memorial home, West Liberty, Jan. 4, where she had been a patient for 3 years.

The daughter of Edgar and Martha Gardner Speers, she was born at Moscow Aug. 29, 1883. She was a lifelong resident of Muscatine county, living most of her life in Atalissa.

She was married to Jesse Overman Oct. 19, 1900. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Atalissa, and a charter member of the Royal Neighbors lodge for 72 years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Harry A., Tipton and Vaughn L., Claremont, Calif.; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
