Funeral services for Earl L. Martin, 62, were held at the Wilton United Presbyterian church Dec. 16 with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in the Rock Island National cemetery Dec. 18 with military services.

Pallbearers were John and Robert Ill, Robert Thede, Richard Martin, Richard and Meridith Woodhouse. Mrs. Diana Maurer was organist.

Mr. Martin died at Franciscan hospital, Rock Island Dec. 13.

The son of Omar and Emma Anderson Martin, he was born at Illinois City, Ill. and was married to Helen Woodhouse at Davenport Oct. 2, 1939.

He retired as a comptroller for the Defense Logistics Services center, Battle Creek, Mich. in 1973.

Mr. Martin was a member of the Presbyterian church at Wilton and an army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, a son, James L., Valencia, Calif.; 3 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Alice) Ill, Moline, Ill. and 2 brothers, William, Muscatine and Albert, Taylor Ridge, Ill. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
