Last rites for George Milton Oveson, 74, Moscow, will be held at the Gill-Lacock funeral home, Wilton at 2 p.m. today, April 13, with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating with burial in the Oakdale cemetery, Wilton. Mr. Oveson died at the Oakdale sanitarium, Iowa City, April 11.

Pallbearers are Ronald and Craig Oveson, Geoffrey and Kim Shuger and Neal and Bruce Rabedeaux. Honorary pallbearers are Rex and Tom Oveson, Brian Rabedeaux, Scott Shuger and Christopher Weiler. Mrs. Donna Maurer was organist. Those in charge of flowers are Claudia, Marianne and Michelle Oveson, Debra Dietrich, Kandi Shuger, Renee Lockridge and Beth Weiler.

Born in Wilton July 4, 1903, Mr. Oveson was a 55 year resident of Wilton before moving to Moscow. He married Vera Godske in Davenport in 1922. She died in 1965.

He is survived by 2 sons, George, Muscatine and Rex, Wilton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harry (Marianne) Weiler, Monterey, Calif. and Joyce Shuger and Mrs. W. R. (Beverly) Rabedeaux, both of Wilton; 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edward (Ann) Kroll, Moscow and a brother, Lyle, Wilton.
