Funeral services for a former Moscow resident, Charles J. Bailey, 87, were held at the Frick funeral home in Durant Aug. 5. Mr. Bailey died at Cedar Manor, Tipton, Aug. 1 following an extended illness.

Officiating at the service was Rev. L. Jack Eilers with burial in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Bailey was born Nov. 13, 1886, in Minburn, the son of George and Loretta Langfitt Bailey. He married Theresa Reimers in 1907 in Dallas county, Ia. He was a retired construction worker.

Surviving are 2 sons, Virgil C., Green Rock, Ill. and Kermit, Green Rock, Ill.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Emil (Bernice) Gilbert and Mrs. Louis (Corrinne) Tertipes, both of Moscow; Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Coquit, Geneseo, Ill., and Mrs. Leo (Beverly) Bartels, Moline, Ill; two brothers, Glenn, Omaha, Nebr. and Leonard, Edgar, Nebr.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Renfro, Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Marie Schloatman, Edgar, Nebr., and Mrs. Grace Stiles, Blue Island, Ill.; 35 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, 2 sons and 4 daughters.
