Last rites for Mrs. Ada McGill Smith, 92, were held at the Atalissa Presbyterian church Feb. 28 with the Rev. Ronald Bessert officiating. Burial was in Overman cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died at Tipton March 25, following a short illness.

The daughter of James and Eliza Cromer McGill, she was born at Port Louisa April 7, 1891. She was married to Grant Smith at Rock Island, Ill., April 8, 1911.

She was a member of the Atalissa Presbyterian church, Order of the Eastern Star and Grange.

Surviving are a son, Charles, Atalissa; 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Zella) Statler, Tipton and Mrs. Donald (Jean) Burns, Muscatine; 2 brothers, Donald McGill, Melrose; and M. Faye McGill, Paradise, Cal.; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
