Funeral services for Rudolph Vogel, 84, were held at West Liberty March 30 with burial in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Vogel died at the Lone Tree care center March 28, following a long illness.

The son of Adolph and Marie Schurig Vogel, he was born at West Liberty Feb. 20, 1890. He married Margaret Villhauer in Iowa City Dec. 10, 1919.

He is survived by his wife, 4 daughters, Mrs. Everett (Virginia) Holst, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Jenks and Mrs. L. B. (Luetta) Eaton, all of West Liberty, and Mrs. Edwin (Wilma) Holst of Durant; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Helen Sunier, Santa Barbara, Calif.
