Funeral services for Mrs. John (Agnes) Hickey, 83, sister of Mrs. Genevieve Werling and aunt of Judge Max Werling, were held at St. Mathias church in Muscatine Nov. 27 with burial at St. Mary's cemetery in Muscatine.

Mrs. Hickey died at the Hershey Convalescent home in Muscatine Nov. 23 following a lengthy illness.

Born at Wilton July 4, 1889, she was the daughter of James and Mary Murphy McSwiggen. She was a life resident of Muscatine county.

Agnes McSwiggin was married to John Hickey Sept. 19, 1919 at Wilton. She was a registered nurse and served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War I. She was a member of St. (transcribers note: the sentence ends there)

Surviving are her husband, a son, Arthur, Muscatine, 3 sisters, Mrs. Winifred Conway and Mrs. Genevieve Werling, Tipton; Mrs. Emma Newton, Muscatine and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
