Joseph Waack, 2 1/2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Waack Sr., rural Wilton, died Dec. 23 at University hospitals, Iowa City, from injuries he received in an auto accident Dec. 21, south of Wilton on an Iowa 38 detour.

The Waack auto was struck from behind by an auto driven by Michael Giese, 19, Wilton, according to the Iowa Highway Patrol.
