Funeral services for Dr. Lysle H. Whitmer, 58, Wilton Junction physician, were held Feb. 5 at Wilton Junction. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, where Masonic rites were conducted.

Dr. Whitmer died Feb. 2 at his home between Wilton Junction and Muscatine, following a long illness.

Dr. Whitmer was a World War II veteran. He also was a member of Muscatine Medical Association and the American Medical Association, as well as various Masonic bodies.

Dr. Whitmer was born in Wilton Jan. 22, 1910. He married Evelyn Hornung June 20, 1931, in Davenport.

Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Maurice, Wilton; Michael and Lysle Whitmer, Jr., both of rural Muscatine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jerome (Carol) Baille, Muscatine, and Mrs. Fred (Joan) Kautz, LaCrosse, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Whitmer, Muscatine, and a sister, Mrs. M. M. Tomseld, Grinnell.
