Ronald Lee Ziehl, 77, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa passed away on April 30, 2021 in Edinburg, TX. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Calvary Church in Muscatine, from 2:00-4:00 P.M.
Ronald was born to Harold and Henrietta (Peters) Ziehl on August 10, 1943 in Grand Island, NE. He was married to Sherry Holladay and Kerry Wagner, both marriages ended in divorce.
Ronald proudly served in the US Army, driving a truck in Germany.
After serving in the US Army, Ronald spent his life driving over-the-road for multiple trucking companies. Upon his retirement he sparked a passion with music and was determined to teach himself to play the guitar. He then moved to southern Texas where he enjoyed singing and jamming with his friends.
Those left to honor his memory are his children Ronald Ziehl Jr. (Cindy) of Muscatine, Renee Reid (Aaron) of Washington and Randy Ziehl of Muscatine. His three grandchildren Isiah Reid (Courtney), Brooklyn Reid (Larry), and Chandler Reid (Leah) and two great-grandchildren Ryker Lee and Maezie Lynn all of Washington, IA. His sister, Jean Markwell of Nevada and step-sisters Glenda Hartsock of Columbus Junction, IA and Helen Snider of Georgia.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, step-father Ocsar Bishop, brother James Middleton and step-sister Norma Thornton.
