Funeral services for Mrs. Lester (Edna) L. Sterner, 61, Muscatine, were held Feb. 28 at Wilton Junction with the Rev. James W. Kalhhoff officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.
Mrs. Sterner died at her home in Muscatine Feb. 25, following a long illness.
The daughter of Alfred and Louisa Marolf, she was born Dec. 18, 1904 at Wilton Junction.
She married Lester Sterner of Dec. 18, 1923, at Wilton Junction and was a long time resident of the Wilton Junction community until moving to Muscatine eight years ago.
Mrs. Sterner was a member of Our Savior Lutheran church at Muscatine. She had been employed at Muscatine General hospital since its opening.
Survivors include her husband and 3 sons, Leo, Alfred and Harold, all of Muscatine; 3 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Lendt, Lowden; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Dollar, Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Phillips, Muscatine; a brother, Harry Marolf of Wilton Junction and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
