Henry Albert Custer, a well known traveling salesman and member of U.C.T., died at his home, 1549 Fifth avenue, at 8 o'clock last evening, following an illness of two months. Born in Rock Island county, Ill., October 26, 1870, he moved with his parents to Muscatine, Iowa, where for eighteen years he was engaged in the hardware business with Jacob Fish and son. For the last eight years he has been a traveling salesman for John Pritzlass, a Milwaukee hardware house.

In 1911 the family moved to Cedar Rapids. Mr. Custer was married August 12, 1892, in Muscatine. His wife and six children survive as follows: Florence Custer Abbott, Waterloo; Mabel, Carleton, Cora, Feldon and Robert, of this city. There are also surviving two brothers, William Custer of Davenport and Frank Custer of Muscatine. Mr. Custer was a member of the Modern Woodmen of American and The United Commercial Travelers.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, the Rev. S. Turner Foster of Westminster church officiating.
