Mrs. Oda Morris Of Nichols Is Called In Death

Nichols - Mrs. Oda Morris, 83, wife of Walter Morris, died at 11:45 a.m. today at her home. She had been bedfast for the past two and a half years.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hankins, she was born Dec. 23, 1865, in Conesville. She had lived in Nichols since 1926 and prior to that in Davenport. She was married to Walter Morris, April 5, 1906, in Davenport.
She was a member of the Christian church and also of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are the husband, a son, Glen Slater, Evanston, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Verna Reeder, Nichols; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements will be in charge of the Snider Funeral home at West Liberty.
