Services were held Dec. 24 at Wilton Junction for John William Marolf, 57, who died at his home at Wilton Junction Dec. 21 after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Robert Farr officiated and interment was at Oakdale cemetery.

The son of John E. and Wilhelmin Berg Marolf, he was born March 22, 1906, in Moscow township, Muscatine county, and was a life-long resident of the Wilton Junction area.

He is survived by his wife, a son, John A. of Moscow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jacqueline) Cook, Davenport; and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Frame, Hawthorne, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Dewey (Anna) Edwards, West Branch, and 8 grandchildren.

His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
