Grove Job, 45, 1100 East Ninth street, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hershey hospital after a short illness with a complication of ailments.
He was born at Canton, Mo., July 9, 1887, the son of William and Susan Job. She spent his early life at Canton but had made his home here for the past five years. He never married. Mr. Job was a member of the Baptist church at Canton and of the American Legion post there. He was a World war veteran, and had served overseas.
Surviving are two brothers, Cecil, Muscatine, and Carl, Nauvoo, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Ollie Musser, Muscatine, Mrs. Arthur Weyant, Mrs. John Bailey, both of Canton, Miss Lucille Job, Canton, and Mrs. Mattie Eckerson, Des Moines.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Canton, Mo., at the home of a brother-in-law, Arthur Weyant. The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home where it will remain until Thursday morning.
