Jessie B. Pallett, 68, Atalissa farmer, died at 6 a.m. April 16 at Muscatine General hospital.

He was born March 11, 1894 in Louisa county, the son of James and Leah Long Pallett, and had spent most of his life in the Atalissa community. He married Anna Welk March 11, 1916. His second marriage was to Ruth Sheppard, Jan. 25, 1941.

Surviving are his widow; 2 sons, Orville and Harley Pallett, Sacramento, Calif.; 4 daughters and one step-daughter, Mrs. Vernelda Wren, Mrs. Twyla Hernandez and Mrs. Janet Hellyer, Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Beverly Ross, Muscatine and Mrs. Anna Berggren, Sigourney; a sister, Mrs. Maite Brown, Sacramento, Calif., and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Services were held April 17 with the Rev. Caleb Larson in charge. Burial will be at Drury Reynolds cemetery.
