Mrs. Thomas (Pearl Anna) Seaton, 79, former West Liberty resident, died March 21 at Tujunga, Calif. Mrs. Seaton had lived in California for 34 years.

The daughter of Wesley and Amanda Rhodes, she was born Feb. 26, 1883 near West Liberty. She was married to Thomas Seaton at West Liberty Dec. 25, 1901. She and her husband farmed in the West Liberty and Downey areas before she moved to California.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Clyde, Iowa City, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Perkins, Glendale, Calif.; a brother, Clark Rhodes, Pasadena, Calif., 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 27 in West Liberty with burial in Oakridge cemetery at West Liberty.
