Raymond A. Aikins, 76, of West Liberty died March 30 in a West Liberty nursing home.

Funeral services are April 2 in West Liberty in the Snider funeral home, with the Rev. Denley Ganfield of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge cemetery.

Mr. Aikins was born Aug. 22, 1886, in Cedar county, the son of Albert A. and Catherine Buckman Aikins.

He attended school at West Liberty and the University of Iowa. He married Lillian Pearl Cross on October 22, 1913.

He was a 50-year member of the Mt. Calvary Masonic lodge and the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Robert, Provo, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Ethel A. Whitacre, West Liberty; a brother, Irwin, Oskaloosa; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
