Elizabeth Kallenberger, 65, who had spent the greater part of her life in Muscatine, died at her home, 704 Demorest avenue, at 10 p.m. Tuesday after an illness of one week with complications. She was born in Gravndview, Ia., Aug. 14, 1872. Her marriage to Kasper Kallenberger took place at Rock Island on Feb. 6, 1933. She attended the Methodist Episcopal church.
Surviving are her husband and a the following children, by a former marriage: Willard Holliday of Rock Island, Mrs. William Goodwin, Mrs. Phoebe Martin and Mrs. Glen Wright of Muscatine; and Mrs. Howard Hidlebaugh of Letts. Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bird of Wappelo; Mrs. Emma Boyer of Muscatine and Mrs. Joseph Hicklin of Wapello; one brother, Isaac Ryan of Detroit, Mich., 16 grand children and seven step-children also survive. One daughter, Mrs. Walter Hernandez, preceded her in death.
The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home but will be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Wright, on Sampson street at 8 p.m. today and will remain there until Saturday morning when it will be returned to the Ralph Wittich Funeral home for rites there at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. L.F. Church of the Lincoln Boulevard Baptist church will be in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
