Mrs. Gertrude Myrtle Allison, 85, who had lived at 514 Main St, died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Muscatine General hospital.

Mrs. Allison had been a resident of Muscatine for 56 years, and formerly lived in Missouri. She was born June 18, 1882, at Illinois city, the daughter of James Newton Walker and Sarah Jane Taylor Walker.

She was married June 15, 1898, at Ellington, Ill., to Walter A Allison.

Mrs. Allison was a member of Musserville-Methodist church.

She is survived by one son, Raymond A. Allison and a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Lewis, both of Muscatine; five grand-children and eight great grand-children.

The body is at the George M. Wittich funeral home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. T. Ray Crews will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
