Raymond A. Allison, 86, of Muscatine died Friday, June 2, 1995, at Muscatine General Hospital. Services will be 3 pm., Monday, at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Shoepf of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery with military rites provided by the American Legion or VFW.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.n. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Moose service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mr. Allison was born Dec. 5, 1908 at Frederickstown, Mo., a son of Walter A. and Myrtle G. Walker Allison. He married Shirley Johnson on May 2, 1986, in Muscatine.

He farmed in the Muscatine area all of his life. Allison was a member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge and an army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, three sons, Raymond (Gene) Allison of Muscatine, Loren Allison of Muscatine and Gary Allison of Muscatine, one stepson, Gary Johnson of Centerville, Iowa, one stepdaughter, Suzanne Schmidt of Muscatine, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sarah Allison, and two brothers.
