Rosetta Lawson, Lutheran Homes, Called in Death

Rites are planned at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home for Mrs. Rosetta Lawson, 84, resident of the Lutheran Home who died at 4:50 p.m. Monday at Bellevue hospital, following an extended illness. The Rev. L. A. Stumme, superintendent of the Homes, will have charge. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Lawson was born Aug. 21, 1873, in Missouri, the daughter of Jess and Susan Allison. She had been a resident of Muscatine the past 45 years.

Survivors include three sons, W. J. Christin, in Missouri, Walter Taylor, Mechanicsville, Ill.; and Guy Lawson, Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wickey, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. Walter Wakefield and Mrs. Fred Lange, Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. William Shrum, Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren One of the grandchildren is Mrs. Dwight Garrington, who was reared by Mrs. Lawson.

Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
