Willis H. Miller, 52, a Durant resident for 20 years, committed suicide by hanging Friday, May 12. He was discovered in the Schneckloth Lumber Co., where he had been an employee for 20 years. No inquest was held.
Mr. Miller was born Sept. 18, 1908 in Muscatine county, the son of Hannes and Alvena Miller. He was educated in the rural schools of Muscatine county.
He was a member of the Durant volunteer fire department for 15 years.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alvena Miller, Muscatine; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rollo (Verna) Arp and Mrs. Donald (Pearl) Wilcox, Donahue; 2 brothers, Raymond, Muscatine, and Allen, Durant.
His father and 3 brothers preceded him in death.
Services were held May 15 in Durant; with burial in the Durant cemetery.
