Mrs. Emma M. Hoerschelman, 47, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Davis, 1404 Park avenue, at 2:05 Sunday morning following an illness since December, 1929, with heart disease.
Mrs. Hoerschelman was born in Germany, May 18, 1883, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Becker. She had resided with her daughter here for the past two years. She was married, Feb. 14, 1900 to Henry Hoerschelman at Andrew, Ia. She was of the Lutheran faith. Her husband died three years ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Davis; three sons, Carl of Maquoketa, Arnold of Glenwood, and LaVerne of Muscatine; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Wittich Funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Leland Lesher, pastor of Grace English Lutheran church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.
