Rites were conducted Sunday at Wilton Junction for P. J. "Jim" Walters, 82, a retired farmer who was found dead at his home in Atalissa Friday.

Gordon Smith of Mechanicsville officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery, Muscatine.

He was born July 4, 1874, at Atchinson, Kans. His marriage to Zoetta McHenry took place June 18, 1895, at Monmouth, Ill.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd G., Mapleton, Ill., Vernon of Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Oepping, Atalissa; and one brother, John, Garden City, Kans. There are four grandchildren.
