Funeral services were conducted Friday at Durant for Mrs. Amelia C. Bernick, 89, who died Dec. 26 after an extended illness. Burial was in Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Bernick was born Oct. 6, 1867, at Stockton. She was married to Adolph Bernick Jan. 27, 1887, at Davenport. They farmed in Muscatine county until retiring and moving to Durant 58 years ago. Mr. Bernick died in 1951.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Stowell, Durant; a son, Harry Bernick, Haygarden, Saskatchewan, Canada; three brothers, Ernest Broders, Davenport; George, Orlando, Fla., and Harry, Miami, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Denkmann, Huntington Park, Calif.; six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters; a son, and two grandchildren.
