Paul Angerer, 57, rural mail carrier at West Liberty since 1928, died this morning at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, after being rushed there when he suffered a heart attack at the West Liberty post-office.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. George Angerer, he was born April 3, 1900, in Wilton Junction. His marriage to Ruth Maxon took place in 1928. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the American Legion post, for which he served as chaplain a number of years, and a member of St. Joseph's church here.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Albert Angerer, West Liberty; two sons and two daughters by a previous marriage, Jack Angerer, Detroit, Mich., Richard Angerer and Mrs. Mary Crum, both of Cedar Rapids, and Helen Angerer, Davenport; his father, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hughart and Mrs. Margaret Ehlers, Baraboo, Wis., and 10 grandchildren.
