AGED WILTON MAN IS SUMMONED BY DEATH -- EZRA LONG, AGED 70, DIES AT DAUGHTER’S HOME.

Born in Ohio – Resident of Iowa Since 1853 – Ten Children Survive.

Wilton, Ia., April 28. – Ezra Long, aged 70 years, a well known resident of Wilton and the father of 7 Wilton Men and women, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hain at 4:30 o’clock this morning.

Mr. Long had been ill for several months. The cause of his death was Bright’s disease. He was born in Knox county, Ohio, June 29, 1844. In the following year his parents removed to Indiana and from there in 1853 to Clinton county, Ia.

In 1874 Mr. Long moved to Cedar county. For a number of years he had been a resident of Wilton. He is survived by six sons, five of whom, Charles, Ralph, Ray, Joseph and Clarke, reside in this place. The other son, Frank, is a resident of South Dakota. Four daughters also survive. They are Mrs. Hain and Mrs. Charles McCollum of Wilton, and Miss Dina Long of Bennett, and Mrs. Ada Stinemetz of Wrightmill, Iowa.

No arrangements for the funeral have as yet been announced.

Note: Burial was made in Sharon Cemetery, Sugar Creek Twp., Cedar County, IA
