Funeral services for Evan Jenkins, retired farmer, who died of a heart attack at his home in Wilton Junction Jan. 9, were held Monday in Davenport. Burial was in the Parr cemetery at Pleasant Prairie.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Muscatine county Feb. 14, 1881, a son of John and Margaret Jenkins. He married Elizabeth Angel at Davenport Jan. 7, 1914.

Mr. Jenkins had farmed near Pleasant Prairie and Wilton Junction for a number of years, retiring about 12 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, a brother, Thomas Jenkins of Davenport; a son, Melroy, of Wilton Junction, and two daughters, Mrs. Neven Kelly and Mrs. Vera Murdock, both of Wilton Junction, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
