Mrs. Pike, 78, Goes In Death; Services Sunday

Mrs. Minnie D. Pike, 78, who resided at 903 ½ Iowa avenue, died at 3:45 a.m. today at Bellevue hospital.
The body was removed to the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. John Riggs, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed church, in charge. Burial will be at Nichols.
The daughter of William and Dorothea Pruess, Mrs. Pike was born Oct. 7, 1875, in Germany. She had spent most of her life in the Muscatine community. Her marriage to Everett Pike took place Jan. 17, 1894, at Nichols. She was a member of the Lutheran church at Lone Tree and of the Royal Neighbors lodge.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Ira L. Pike of West Liberty; one daughter, Mrs. D. W. Kopp of Muscatine; three brothers, Charles Pruess of Kurzy, Colo., William Pruess of near Clarence, Ia., and Louis Pruess of Ainworth; four sisters, mrs. Herman Rehbehn of Atalissa, Mrs. Emma Shafer of Nichols, Mrs. Nellie Carney of Muscatine and Mrs. Leonard Hendricks of West Liberty; five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, three sisters, and two brothers.
