Typhoid Fever Fatal to Child -- Albert Reynolds, Jr. 11, Succumbs; Sister Aged 10 Improving.

Albert Reynolds, Jr., 11-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reynolds, Sr., died at Hershey hospital at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday of typhoid fever caused from drinking water out of the Mississippi River.

His sister, Lorraine, 10, who was also taken down with the disease, was reported to be slightly improved at the hospital. Both children of the Reynolds family, which resides near the river front, because seriously ill a short time ago. It was discovered that they had been drinking water from the river rather than from the well which was used by the family.

Albert was born Nov. 24, 1924 in Muscatine. He is survived by his parents, two sisters and three brothers, all at home. Betty, Lorraine, Arthur, Cecil and Edward Robert. A grandmother, Mrs. J. W. Holliday, also survives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. from the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home, 216 West Third street, with the Rev. W. B. Milne, pastor of the First Congregational church in charge. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park.
