RALPH W. LONGSTRETH

NICHOLS – Ralph Willard Longstreth, 73, died early Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. P. MacKenzie in Nichols following a lingering illness. The son of Oliver and Caroline McMichael Longstreth, he was born July 17, 1893 at Letts. He had been a resident of Nichols since 1899.
He married Teresa Ryan in February, 1924. Mr. Longstreth was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church; a WWI veteran, a member of the American Legion Post No. 509 of West Liberty; and a retired farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Loretta MacKenzie of Nichols, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, one sister and one son.
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. this evening at the Snider funeral home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s church in Nichols with Rev. John A. Hebenstreit officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s cemetery in Nichols.
The body is at the Snider funeral home in West Liberty where friends may call.
