Kathryn Ruby Longstreth was born near Letts, Ia., March 6, 1898. Departed this life June 27, 1921, age 23 years, 3 months and 21 days, at the home of her parents near Nichols, Ia. She united with the M. E. church in her youth and honored her Christian profession with a Godly life, passing away in full hope of life eternal. She was a patient sufferer for some time, yet she bore her suffering with Christian patience and fortitude. Everything that loving hands and medical skill could do for her was done, but the Master said “Come up higher.” Truly He giveth His beloved sleep. She leaves to mourn their loss her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Longstreth; two brothers, Ralph and Lloyd, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from her late home June 29, 1921, conducted by the Rev. J. A. Worrell, pastor of the M. E. church at Nichols. A large concourse of friends were present to pay their tribute of respect. Interment in the Nichols cemetery.
