GEORGE COTTRELL OF NEAR NICHOLS DIES

Aged Resident Passes away At Country Home.

Has Resided in Iowa For the Past Half Century – Wife and Six Children Survive.

Nichols, Ia., Jan. 15. – George Cottrell, a prominent resident of this community passed away at his home four miles south of here early yesterday afternoon. He was 84 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Cottrell is survived by his wife and six children. He has made his home in this community for the past fifty years. He came to Iowa half a century ago, coming west from Connecticut.
Four of the surviving children are residents of this county, they are Mrs. E. W. Krebbs, of Muscatine; Grover Cottrell, of Nichols; and George Cottrell and Miss Rebecca Cottrell, residing at home.
The other surviving children are Mrs. Henry Moberly of Smith Center, Kansas, and Mrs. Charles Smith of Gora, Okla. This morning no arrangements for the funeral had been announced.
