MRS. ELMER REED

Mrs. Elmer Reed, 67, 1254 Dale Street, died at 10 p.m. Monday at the Jones Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. (d.s.t.) at the George M. Wittich Funeral Home. Rev. Walter Tillberg, pastor of the Ziegler Memorial church of New Era will officiate.
Mrs. Reed was born Dec. 19, 1891, the daughter of Theodore and Ruth Brayton Morehead, at Illinois City. She formerly taught school at Illinois City, and had been a resident of the Muscatine and New Era Communities for the past 35 years.
She was married Dec. 29, 1909, at Illinois City to Elmer E. Reed. She had been a member of the Methodist church of Rochester.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Merlyn E. of Moscow, Wayne E. of Moscow, and LaVaughn of Moline; two daughters, Mrs. Davis Buchele and Mrs. William Martin, of Muscatine; two brothers, Frank Morehead of Los Angeles, and Ernest Morehead of Rock Island; four sisters, Mrs. Lulu Danner of Muscatine, Miss Helen Morehead of Los Angeles, Mrs. John Husa of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Lester Russuck of North Hollywood, Calif., 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

MRS. MAUDE REED

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Reed of 1254 Dale Street, who died Monday, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the George m. Wittich Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter Tillberg of Ziegler Memorial Lutheran church. Burial was at Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Leo Trader was organist.
Flower attendants were Mrs. Reynold Dahms and Mrs. Cecil Meeke. Pallbearers were John Sywassink, Jake Brei, Reynold Dahms, Ray Miller, Glen McCullough and George Davis.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by one son, Donald, in 1945, a brother Eugene and on grandson.
